OC District Region:
Consisting of 16 clubs and 1,200 members, the Orange County District of California Garden Clubs district extends from Naples Island in Long Beach, east to Yorba Linda and south to San Clemente. California is divided into 28 districts to facilitate communication and cooperation within local areas.
The Orange County District Director attends California Garden Clubs, Inc. (CGCI) board meetings and conventions. The Director also interprets and communicates CGCI programs and goals to the clubs within the district.
Communication from the Orange County District Director to individual clubs is facilitated by email and an occasional District meeting, that all clubs within the district are invited to attend.
The June district meeting summarizes the club’s year, awards winners are announced, and a basket raffle is held. Raffle items are donated by clubs within the district. The funds raised by the raffle go directly towards a scholarship that is awarded to one of the club scholarship winners within the district.
