Casa Romantica Cultural Center & Gardens
Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, one of the many treasures of San Clemente, is the historic home of the founder of the City of San Clemente. Ole Hanson commissioned the home to be built in 1927. It is now a registered historic landmark.
In 2006, the San Clemente Garden Club, as an outreach project supporting the community, began maintaining the planters in the front of the building.
Presently, our club volunteers continue to support Casa Romantica by meeting monthly to perform maintain the Native Garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The monthly maintenance includes fertilizing, weeding, deadheading and planting, as necessary.
Consider joining us on the third Wednesday of the month. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed! Contact Kieu Doan with any questions you may have.
