Junior Gardeners Program
The San Clemente Garden Club is proud to sponsor the Learning Through Nature - Junior Gardeners Program.
The SCGC awards grants to Public and private K-12 schools located within the City of San Clemente that are developing or maintaining school garden projects involving students in grades K- 12.
Priority will be given to those programs, which emphasize one or more of the following elements:
Healthy life skills through growing and harvesting one’s own food;
Environmental education through water conservation, habitat development, and California native plants;
Inspiring future scientists through investigations in the natural world;
Involving students in the personal stewardship of their school gardens through after-school garden maintenance
Club volunteers provide assistance to the participating schools.
If your school would like more information on this program, please send an email to gardenclubsc@gmail.com. Applications can be found under Scholarships & Grants on this website.
