Junior Gardeners Program Grants
By supporting school gardens, the San Clemente Garden Club creates opportunities for students to develop healthy lifestyles, to have a deeper understanding of natural systems, and to become better stewards of the Earth.
Priority for the awarding of grants will be given to those programs, which emphasize one or more of the following elements:
Healthy life skills through growing and harvesting one’s own food
Environmental education through water conservation, habitat development, and CA native plants
Inspiring future scientists through investigations in the natural world
Involving students in the personal stewardship of their school gardens through after-school garden maintenance
Information on participating school gardens can be found in the Community Engagement section of this website.
